Summary
Providence Health Care is home to the most integrated kidney treatment, research, and education programs in British Columbia. At St. Paul’s Hospital, 16 nephrologists and more than 350 professionals – nurses, renal technicians, biomedical engineering technologists, dieticians, physiotherapists, social workers, pharmacists – form a dedicated team committed to improving the lives of people living with kidney disease. Providence Health Care also operates seven community hemodialysis units and multiple kidney function clinics across Vancouver Coastal Health. In 2027, the Renal Program will relocate to the New St. Paul’s Hospital on the Jim Pattison Medical Campus – a purpose-built environment designed to elevate patient experience, support interdisciplinary collaboration, and accelerate innovation in kidney care.
Reporting to the Program Director and collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team, the Quality Assurance and Compliance Coordinator leads quality assurance measures to ensure the accurate completion of Patient Records Outcome Management Information System (PROMIS) and CERNER data. The Coordinator is responsible for the development of program level balanced scorecards to align program activities to best practices, monitor performance, improve patient safety, and track operational efficiency. The Coordinator also processes and performs monthly and quarterly audits to review outcomes and recommend improvements with leadership.
