Providence Health Care (PHC) is seeking an exceptional Nurse Practitioner leader to serve as Department Head of Nurse Practitioners. Reporting to the Vice President, Medical Affairs (for administrative and professional matters related to the Department members’ status as Medical Staff) and the Vice President Chief of People, Nursing and Health Professions Officer (for administrative and professional matters related to the professional practice of the members of the Department of Nurse Practitioners), and working in partnership with the Executive Director, Professional Practice as well as with Operational Program leaders, corporate staff, and community partners throughout PHC. The NP Department Head maintains their clinical practice in accordance with the Practice hours requirements set out by the BC College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM) and holds active or provisional medical staff privileges under the PHC Medical Staff Rules and Bylaws.
