- Competitive salary: $130,864 - $188,116 CAD per year, depending on experience

Your day to day:
- Leads and facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of a strategic plan and annual plans for the Data Analytics team.
- Works collaboratively with team peers in performance improvement and with others across the organization (including Finance, IMITS, HIM, and Human Resources) to ensure the alignment of related strategies and to support the achievement of corporate goals. Makes strategic decisions relating to Data Analytics (consistent with the strategic plan and mission, vision and values of PHC) that impact multiple departments and programs within PHC.
- Leads the development and implementation of Data Analytic solutions, including the definition of deliverables and specific timelines that align with the strategic and operational information needs of the organization, and ensures that the development and ongoing maintenance of the decision support environment is occurring effectively and efficiently.
- Develops and oversees the implementation of service and quality standards and policies for the Data Analytics function.
- Develops and supports data governance activities within PHC and represents PHC in cross-organizational tables and forums related to data governance.
- Ensures that the organization is able to access timely and accurate data to further its Value Based Healthcare initiatives.
- Implements mechanisms and evaluates organizational, program and team performance indicators to support the systematic measurement and evaluation of organizational performance.
- Ensures Data Analytics is continuously improving, specifically with respect to adoption of internal best practices, standardization of code, tools and report templates, and using existing technologies to automate and streamline work.
- Ensures the efforts of the Data Analytics team and the deliverables generated are strongly aligned with the needs within Providence Health Care, by establishing and maintaining processes for user-feedback on an on-going basis.
- Provides direction and guidance to the Data Analytics team to troubleshoot and resolve issues or concerns with initiatives across the organization. Identifies and ensures the expedited resolution to problems or barriers to enable successful project completion.
- Establishes an evaluation framework to provide management with feedback as to the growth and the possibilities of the data analytics function. Identifies opportunities to improve and to promote learning, establish priorities, set targets and engage in improvement initiatives to achieve results.
- Identifies, initiates, and facilitates opportunities to partner with health organizations, regional entities, community agencies and private partners to improve data analytics and decision support.
- Works in partnership with the Directors within the Health Informatics Team on integrating initiatives through a shared vision and plan to provide high quality data analytics for decision support.
- Ensures the Data Analytics team is appropriately resourced to deliver advanced and scalable data analytic services that drive data-driven recommendations and outcomes while continuously striving for high performance and rapid delivery.
- Responsible for developing, recommending and monitoring performance of the Data Analytics budget and for developing business cases to support new and additional funding as required.
- Responsible for developing proficiency and capabilities in data analytics, data storytelling and data visualization within the Data Analytics team by providing overall direction and supervision to the team through coaching, mentoring, skill and leadership development, and team building. Manages assigned staff including recruitment, supervision, work assignment, performance management, professional development, and all aspects of discipline including termination.
- Manages contractual relationships with external consultants.
- Provides written and oral reports to the Ministry of Health Services, the Board, the Senior Leadership Team, and Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, as required.
- Performs other related duties as required.
