The salary range for this position is CAD $32.43/Hr. - CAD $34.74/Hr.

As Providence Health Care (PHC) prepares for the opening of the new St. Paul’s Hospital, we are ramping up hiring activity and we’re seeking motivated individuals to join us on this exciting journey. We are currently hiring two (2) Temporary Full‑Time Recruitment Analysts for a one (1)‑year assignment, offering a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the workforce build‑out of one of Canada’s most innovative healthcare developments.

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Management, the Recruitment Analyst supports a wide range of internal and external recruitment processes across PHC. This role provides essential services to Operations and the Talent Recruitment team, building strong relationships with leaders and applicants to ensure an efficient, responsive, and people‑first recruitment experience. What You Bring

Completed or in progress Post Secondary Education in Human Resources Management, plus a minimum of 1 (one) to 2 (two) year of experience working in Human Resources, ideally with a focus on Recruitment. Experience working in a fast paced, large complex organization preferred. Familiarity with unionized workplace preferred.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of collective agreements, relevant government legislation and human resources and recruitment practices and procedures.

  • An aptitude for generating statistics and summarizing data.
  • Broad knowledge of best recruiting practices and an aptitude for marketing.
  • Skilled computer literacy with HR Information Systems and Programs, Applicant Tracking System usage, word processing, spreadsheet and database programs, such as MS Word, Excel and Access, is required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate and work with others effectively
  • Strong customer service skills, ability to respond to inquiries in an effective timely manner as well as provide a top-notch employee and candidate experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Your Day to Day:

The Recruitment Analyst helps with the following duties (but not limited to):

  • Assists Talent Recruitment Advisors with pre-screening applicants to determine that baseline qualifications for the position have been met, conducting phone screens, administering testing, short-listing qualified applicants and referring qualified applicants to a Recruitment Advisor.
  • Schedules and administers pre-employment reference checks for prospective new hires. Keeps record of all reference checks and escalates as needed to Talent Recruitment Advisor.
  • Processes and tracks requests for postings and new hires through use of an applicant tracking system. Receives and verifies accuracy of posting request and creates internal posting for bargaining unit and non-contract positions, and processes new hire documentation.
  • Prepares employee applicant lists for internal job competitions, when posting closes, showing qualified applicants and emails to the recruiting manager/designate the link to view applicant lists on-line.
  • Moves posting to the External hiring process within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to when there are no internal applicants.
  • Creates and sends offer letters, employee transfer letters and onboarding packages. Processes new hires and transfers in applicant tracking system.
  • Uploads new and revised job descriptions into the applicant tracking system.
  • Actively manages position control by monitoring staff movement and new hires in assigned client groups and assists with verifying position attributes for Master Rotation Changes.
  • Advises management and employees on the displacement and bumping process. Conducts ongoing maintenance of relevant displacement documents, liaises between management, staff and unions to schedule the displacement meetings, prepares for and attends displacement meetings, provides ongoing support to displaced employees to assist in their job selections and ensures the process is followed in accordance with the relevant Collective Agreement.
  • Researches, analyses and presents appropriate bumping options to affected staff members based on seniority, skill set, abilities and in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
  • Creates and provides ongoing recruitment related reporting as needed, included but not limited to: vacancy reports, retention reports, onboarding and off boarding survey reports, Ministry of Health reporting requests etc.
  • Administers offer letter and transfer letter template updates and changes in Applicant Tracking System.
  • Processes, tracks and follows up on a variety of documentation related to items such as relocation expenses, confirming credentials such as registration/licensure status with professional associations and colleges.
