Lower Mainland Biomedical Engineering (LMBME) is excited to offer a Summer 2026 (May to August 2026) Clinical Engineering full-time Internship position on our Regional Engineering Team for a Biomedical/Clinical Engineering student!

About LMBME

LMBME focuses primarily on Healthcare Technology Management by providing a wide range of technical support and engineering expertise. It serves four Health Delivery Organizations (FHA, PHC, PHSA, and VCH) in the Lower Mainland of BC, Canada by managing medical devices throughout their life-cycle: from acquisition planning and development of technical specifications, through the purchasing, implementation, maintenance, and end-of-life and disposal/recycling.

LMBME also plays a key role in technology related to patient safety. It conducts incident investigations, monitors medical equipment recalls and alerts, and identifies potential hazards associated with medical technology.

LMBME’s Engineering Team has regional responsibilities, providing engineering support across 27 major hospitals and additional smaller sites. LMBME's Biomedical Engineering Technologists have site-specific and hands-on responsibilities, supporting 110,000+ medical devices spread across these sites.

What You Bring
