The salary range for this position is CAD $38.12/Hr. - CAD $47.64/Hr.

Summary

The Senior Business Analyst Clinical Informatics reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for providing leadership, analysis, support and partnership engagement for project initiatives and operations related to technology solutions across the organization. This role will be engaged in multiple initiatives, and will be responsible for project planning, business requirements gathering (i.e. data, clinical workflow/business process and functional needs), data analysis and supporting in the execution of projects and change management.
The Senior Business Analyst leads the analysis and documentation of business requirements and gaps between clinical and/or business requirements and software features and functions. Leads or assists with the development and maintenance of systems.

Please note this is a temporary position ending on October 31, 2026.

What You Bring

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Informatics, Computer Science or a related discipline plus a minimum of five (5) years’ recent, related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Superior analytical skills for data, documentation, and workflows, including the ability to comprehend, analyze and resolve complex issues and present information in concise meaningful ways.
  • Highly developed business writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to document work appropriately.
  • Understands business analysis and project management methodology.
  • Resourceful; well-organized; systematic analysis; strategic thinking; critical thinking; attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of information technology applications and outcomes achieved through new platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, good judgment and initiative, deal with frequent changes.
  • Ability to understand and clearly relate technical information to internal and external members of the organization.
  • Superior ability in presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and issue management/escalation.
  • Ability to facilitate and encourage cooperation between diverse operational groups and skill sets.
  • Strong skills and experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,), SharePoint and Visio.
  • Physical abilities to perform the duties of the position.

Your Day to Day:

  • Partners with project and operations teams in support of the planning, implementation, and subsequent analysis of functionality and effectiveness of project delivery including recommending improvements.
  • Acts as an advisor to the Project Manager by assessing project risks, identifying risk mitigation strategies and opportunities and monitoring risk throughout the life cycle of the project. Recommends solutions to achieve goals and outcomes.
  • Analyzes operational problems and recommends innovative solutions by critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, analyzing high-level information into details. Prepares in depth business and analytical reports for executives.
  • Elicits business requirements by engaging clinical/program operation owners, key partners, and subject matter experts, and using methods such as interviews, document reviews, business process descriptions, “use case” scenarios and workflow analysis.
  • Coordinates implementation of applications and/or processes by acting as liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams, and by ensuring documentation, user testing, user training, and business process change management are in place.
  • Facilitates and leads various operational tasks within project committees and teams.
    Supports the project’s governance structure, including the development of meeting materials, escalation of decisions, maintenance of decision/action logs and preparation of meeting minutes.
  • Monitors, analyses, and reports on variances and recommends remedial action for assigned projects.
  • Communicates information, makes recommendations, and raises issues/concerns to the project lead.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
