The salary range for this position is CAD $45.46/Hr. - CAD $56.82/Hr.

Summary

The Integrated Youth Services Collaboration Centre (IYS-CC) is a new and unique initiative launched by Providence Health Care in partnership with the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH) and in collaboration with Integrated Youth Services initiatives in Canada. The IYS-CC, while closely affiliated with Foundry, is an independent initiative and its activities are coordinated with a CAMH team of professionals.

 

We are seeking a Program Manager, Learning Management Systems who will work closely with the Leader and Curriculum Developer to create and maintain an accessible and usable learning center environment for use by a wide range of stakeholders, including young people, families/caregivers, clinicians, service providers and administrators. The successful candidate will have experience with, and knowledge of, learning management systems (LMS), including but not limited to, Brightspace, Moodle, Canvas, iSpring etc. This role will be responsible for:

  • organizing, maintaining and optimizing the use of the IYS-CC LMS platform;
  • maintaining the database of resources, tools and training content;
  • onboarding and supporting users of the LMS platform;
  • assisting in building course components, implementing learning activities/tasks, building assessments and developing content from source materials in appropriate formats.
  • identifying program needs and supporting the use of research, best practice and emerging trends to inform continuous improvement of the program;
  • supporting staff leadership and skill development through coordination and provision of education and training, providing expertise, and assisting with navigation of available resources;
  • establishing and maintaining working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to IYS-CC to strengthen connections, identify information needs, share information, and create opportunities for partnership;
  • ensuring program deliverable and outcomes are achieved through ongoing planning, project and resource management;
  • preparing progress reports and updates to IYS-CC leadership and funders as required.

What You Bring

Education:
Graduation from a recognized degree program in health sciences, social sciences, health research, communications, policy or related field plus five (5) years’ recent, related experience in the program area or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience teaching and/or facilitating workshops for adult learners in varied formats of delivery (online, blended, face-to-face) is a strong asset.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the program area and related services, legislation, standards, policies and values.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and promote collaboration and change management, and work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to utilize initiative, vision, independent thinking and creative problem-solving abilities to develop and implement program/project plans and realize project completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others and manage a team.
  • Effective communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment.
  • Effective facilitation, persuasion and negotiation skills to achieve consensus, resolve conflict and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Functional knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, learning, project management and database applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills. Expertise in plain language writing is an asset.
  • Demonstrated success in program or project delivery and execution of project management methods.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), and the PHC’s signatory to the Declaration of Cultural Safety and Humility.
  • Ability to apply decision making and analytical skills.Ability to prioritize, and to plan, coordinate, and organize work.
  • Ability to operate required equipment.
  • Ability to travel for meetings as necessary.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Your Day to Day:

  • Provides high-level oversight, monitoring and project management for a variety of program initiatives.
  • Provides day-to-day operational support for program staff including onboarding of staff, provision of education and training of staff, coaching and mentoring staff, and orientating staff to available IYS-CC resources and information portals.
  • Provides leadership, facilitation, coordination and/or support as required to organizational committees, improvement groups and operational/implementation groups.
  • Develops work plans, tracks progress to targets/goals, and provides status updates and progress reports to internal and external partners and stakeholders (as required).
  • Responds to information requests and coordinates communication of responses with various areas within the IYS-CC and with other stakeholders.
  • Provides information, reports, analyses and recommendations as required to support program evaluation, research activities and decision-making associated with the program.
  • Identifies program needs and supports the use of research, best practice and emerging trends to inform continuous improvement of the program. Develops policies and procedures to support program implementation and decision-making.
  • Establishes and maintains long-term relationships with key partners internal and external to IYS-CC to strengthen connections, identify information needs, share information, and create opportunities for partnership by building alliances, broadening reach and engaging new audiences, and identifying common interests and needs through sustained connection and engagement processes.
  • Facilitates and maintain relationship between IYS-CC and vendors/partners and negotiates contracts to support program deliverables.
  • Prepares reports, business cases, funding applications, proposals and maintains statistical records regarding program activities.
  • Manages the recruitment, selection and hiring of staff within program. Monitors and reviews staff performance, assesses developmental needs, makes recommendations regarding discipline and/or initiates disciplinary action in conjunction with HR Partner.
  • Manages program budget and monitors expenditures to ensure projections and targets are met, reporting on any variances.
  • Ensures optimal utilization of available resources such as equipment across projects as appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
