The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. - CAD $55.91/Hr.

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Renal Transplant Clinic—a specialized unit dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients with complex renal needs.

Your day-to-day:  

  • Conduct thorough patient/resident assessments through chart reviews, observations, interviews, and collaboration with peers  
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans based on evidence-based practices, prioritizing patient/resident needs  
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and PHC standards while providing high-quality nursing care  
  • Monitor patient/resident progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed for optimal results  
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, care plans, patient/resident status, and discharge plans using manual and computerized systems  
  • Identify and address patient/resident and family learning needs, providing education and referrals as necessary  
  • Provide direction to staff, promote teamwork, and share clinical knowledge to enhance patient care  
  • Support nursing research initiatives and contribute to the improvement of patient/resident care policies and procedures  
  • Advocate for patients/residents' rights and dignity, facilitate discharge plans, and collaborate with families and community resources  
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team. 

What You Bring

Education:  

  • Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). 
  • Minimum 2 years of recent renal nursing experience, including 1 year of patient teaching. 

Skills & Abilities:  

  • Strong clinical leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and support patients and peers 
  • CPR certification and proficiency in dialysis-related procedures 
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development
