Summary
Providence Health Care's Lighthouse Virtual Substance Use Care Clinic is now hiring for a permanent, part-time (0.73 FTE) RN/RPN to join their team. Lighthouse is a virtual clinic which offers medical treatment and short-term stabilization for people who use substances. Lighthouse currently provides care to those in the Vancouver region, including qathet, the Sea to Sky Corridor and Richmond.
Lighthouse has also expanded to offer services provincially through the Opioid Treatment Access Line, which supports the expansion of the Road to Recovery program across all regions of B.C., and serves as an immediate measure to improve access to opioid-addiction treatment. This is part of the Province’s comprehensive effort to ensure individuals receive the treatment and recovery care they need, prevent overdose deaths and keep people and communities safe. We offer timely access to Suboxone, Methadone and Kadian Prescriptions to treat opioid use disorder.
Please note that this is an on-site position operating out of 1212 West Broadway providing care exclusively over the phone.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Staff Nurse, assesses, identifies, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care required to assist patients/residents in meeting their physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs using an established framework for nursing practice. Develops, implements, evaluates and revises the plan of care. Incorporates individual and/or group teaching into the care plan and nursing interventions and/or makes referrals to other identified resources. Supports other nurses and health care professionals by collegially sharing information and demonstrating procedures. The Staff Nurse works within an interdisciplinary clinical framework in accordance with the BCCNM Standards and consistent with the mission, vision and values and established protocols of Providence Health Care.
