What You Will Do:
The Health Records Clerk plays a key role in the Health Information Management process by ensuring the accurate processing and maintenance of patient records. They are responsible for managing the electronic records scanning process, which includes collecting charts from units, preparing documents for scanning, and scanning and indexing records within the computerized scanning application while verifying accuracy. They apply index criteria, check image quality, and utilize electronic records scanning software to ensure proper documentation. As part of their duties, they may also lift and store boxes in designated areas, retrieve patient records, calculate statistics, and perform reception and clerical tasks as required.
