What You Will Do
As a key member of the health records team, you’ll help ensure the accuracy, security, and accessibility of patient information—supporting high-quality care behind the scenes. Your attention to detail and organization will help keep records processing running smoothly and efficiently.
Your Day to Day
As a Health Records Clerk, you will:
Retrieve patient charts from units and prepare documents for electronic scanning.
Scan, index, and verify records using computerized scanning software.
Apply indexing criteria to organize documents correctly and ensure image quality meets standards.
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, storing records, and lifting boxes as needed.
Retrieve archived patient records upon request.
Track and calculate departmental statistics.
Provide reception coverage and general clerical support for the department.
