Summary
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager or Resident Care Manager and working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing care to an assigned group of clients according to established policies and procedures and the Standards of Practice for the Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia. The LPN functions as an independent practitioner, while recognizing situations such as increased patient acuity or care that falls outside the scope of an LPN as appropriate for accessing the RN/RPN for collaborative support and/or clinical intervention.
The Adult Day Program at Youville is a specialized social program for adults living with chronic disease, physical and/or cognitive impairment. The program provide caregivers with daytime respite; we offer flexible hours based on client needs, specialized evidence-based dementia care approaches, and chronic disease management and support. The care team is comprised of interdisciplinary health professionals who are passionate about service quality and enhancing the lives of the clients they support.
