St. Paul's Hospital is currently accepting applications for the Emergency Educational Program. This is an opportunity for Registered Nurses (RNs) to pursue a specialty Certificate through the BCIT Emergency Program. Providence Health Care provides 100% funding for the tuition, books, and wage. Upon successful completion of the program, you will work in the Emergency Department at St. Paul’s Hospital.

The Registered Nurse works within an interdisciplinary clinical framework in accordance with the BCCNM Standards of Practice and consistent with the mission, vision and values and established protocols of Providence Health Care.

Education
Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
If the applicant does not possess the required qualifications, PHC will fund Post-Basic Education. Funding will consist of 100% for tuition and books; and wages at rate of 100% of posted FTE. The length of the Post-Basic Education is approximate. Eligibility for Post-Basic Education is restricted to applicant(s) with a minimum of 1-2 year medical/surgical experience (2 years preferred) and who have not received Post-Basic Education Funding from PHC for the past 2 years. Applicant must successfully complete the Post-Basic Education prior to working in the Department.
