Your Day to Day:
- Perform physiotherapy assessments and treatments for patients/residents, including education and follow-up.
- Educate and counsel individuals, families, and teams through demonstrations, in-services, and resource materials.
- Contribute to the care team by promoting an interdisciplinary approach to patient/resident care.
- Provide clinical education and supervision to students as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, developing and evaluating procedures, standards, and patient education materials.
- Maintain patient/resident records by documenting assessments, charting progress, and preparing reports.
- Act as a physiotherapy resource for staff, offering guidance on body mechanics, ergonomics, and back care.
- Support clinical research by formulating questions, helping with proposals, and participating in data collection and interpretation.
- Stay current with physiotherapy developments by reviewing literature, consulting professionals, and participating in educational programs.
- Provide work direction to support staff regarding treatment, preparation, and related patient/resident activities.
