6B is the Kidney Medicine and Transplant ward at SPH, specializing in the care of patients with various kidney conditions, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and those undergoing kidney transplants. Nurses on 6B work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care, respond to medical emergencies, and support patients throughout their complex treatment journeys. Given the long-term nature of many kidney conditions, this role requires not only technical expertise but also patience, empathy, and a holistic approach to care, enabling nurses to build strong, therapeutic relationships with patients over time. This is an excellent opportunity for those with recent acute medicine or surgical experience who are eager to expand their knowledge and skills in renal nursing.
