The Family Peer Supporter, Virtual Care will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, offering peer-based support to families and caregivers of youth or young adults facing mental health or substance use challenges. You will use your lived experience to provide guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance, ensuring families can navigate the mental health and substance use systems effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Peer Support Services: Offer online peer-based, non-clinical support to families and caregivers by sharing your lived experiences. Help them navigate mental health and substance use systems, and connect them with community resources.
Facilitation: Lead peer-based groups and conduct peer information sessions, aligning with Foundry's Service Model to ensure families receive consistent, holistic support.
Resource Navigation: Assist families in identifying and accessing educational materials, community support, and other relevant resources to support their well-being.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships with families, caregivers, young people, and service providers to promote a supportive environment for holistic family health.
