Your Day to Day:
- Assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates Respiratory Therapy care for patients, documenting treatment plans and outcomes.
- Manages oxygen therapy initiation, monitoring, and discontinuation.
- Conducts pulmonary function testing and maintains equipment calibration.
- Assists Physicians with bronchoscopy procedures and sample procurement.
- Performs various procedures including arterial line insertions and blood gas punctures.
- Conducts weaning protocols for patients on respiratory modalities.
- Accompanies patients during inter/intra hospital transport requiring respiratory support.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and contributes to procedure development.
- Completes health record reports and workload statistics.
- Provides clinical supervision and evaluation for students.
